The Battle of San Carlos was a battle between aircraft and ships in May 1982 during the time the British forces landed on the shores of San Carlos Water. The valley and estuary became known as ‘Bomb Alley’ this was because Argentine jet aircraft made repeated attacks on British Ships sustaining severe losses.
